UAB “SSF” is implementing the project “Development and integration of environmentally friendly technologies that reduce the concentration of incomplete combustion products in stoves.”

The purpose of the project is to create and demonstrate at UAB “SSF” innovative, environmentally friendly, and sustainable technologies for sauna stoves, thereby promoting the production of eco-conscious products. To achieve this, the company will invest in research and development (R&D), patenting activities, and preparatory work required to bring the newly developed product to market, as well as acquire eco-design and technological audit services.

Project activities – driven by the goal of reducing negative environmental impact and the need to comply with European Union environmental strategies and regulations, UAB “SSF” has chosen to invest in R&D. Based on the knowledge gained, the company will develop a sauna stove technology that makes it possible to introduce an environmentally friendly product to the market. The concept builds on addressing the shortcomings of existing sauna stove technologies, which can negatively affect emissions and efficiency performance.

Expected result – upon completion of the project, a new sauna stove technology will be created, ensuring higher energy efficiency and reducing pollutant emissions (incomplete combustion products such as CO and volatile organic compounds) in combustion outputs.

The project is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
Implementation period: 30 July 2025 – 30 January 2028
Project value: EUR 476,273.59

SSF is implementing the project “Development and demonstration of an innovative environmentally friendly technology”.

The aim of the project is to develop a technological solution for reducing emissions from hot tub stoves through R&D activities.

Project activities. In order to comply with the European Union’s environmental strategies and regulations and to implement its internal commitment to be an environmentally friendly company, SSF decided to take action on its production processes. The project will develop a technology that will allow the installation of stove combustion zones in a staged manner, both of which will be fed gradually with air and a catalyst, in order to reduce the concentration of products of incomplete combustion (e.g. CO, NO, dioxins, furans) in the exhaust smoke, while maintaining the efficiency of the stove.

Project result. The project will result in the development of a new technology for the staged combustion of hot tub stoves with a thermal catalyst, which will reduce the emissions of CO, VOCs and particulates.

The project is financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

The duration of the project is from 30 September 2024 to 30 March 2027.

The project value is EUR 378 485,42.

EU funding – EUR 228 078,48.
